Blog Help

This page is to provide help for people using our Blogs. Some of the help will be specific to Aging Safely's Blog, while other parts may help with Blogs in general.

Blogs often seem like randon articles, on random subjects by one or more people. On our Blog Page you will see a module on the left side of the page that lists our "Current Articles" in reverse order of publication date. When you click on the title of and article, the article will replace the "Current Articles" list.  On the right column you will see three modules that index the articles by "Catagories", "Author", and "Archive" by date (month & yesr).

Blogs can be read with a web browser just like any other page. Often Blogs are "Subscribed" to and are viewed with special readers. By clicking on the "Syndication" link on ours you will see several "feeds" that you can subscribe to. These feeds are indicated by an orange icon . On other blogs you may see or or an icon for the many aggragation tools or services. While IE7 and Firefox both include simple RSS tools, I use Bloglines to read my blogs.

Search - The blog tool support a simple search tool. The Keywords entry takes a phrase without quotes and returns a list of pages using that phrase. It does not support the + and - operators. It does let you select catagories and date ranges.
